The HTC VIVE XR Elite is the latest VR Headset from HTC VIVE. The Headset offers a resolution of 1920 x 1920 pixels per eye - or 3840 x 1920 combined. This is equivalent to 4K resolution. This resolution ensures that images are displayed sharply and that the user can see the smallest details clearly. The refresh rate of the Headset is 90 Hz. This displays images smoothly without annoying stuttering in the screen.
At the back of the Headset is a battery. This back can be removed so that you can use the glasses in different ways. Will the glasses be used for gaming or other applications? Then you can keep the battery connected and you can use the Headset wirelessly for up to 2 hours. But are you going to use the glasses to watch a 360-degree video, for example? Then you can disconnect the battery - and possibly hang it on a power bank - and you can wear the Headset like sunglasses.
The Headset comes standard with a cable that allows you to connect the glasses to an external Computer. For example, you can choose to use the Headset Standalone or to connect via a PC.

- The VIVE XR Elite is smaller than comparable Standalone VR Glasses, such as Meta Quest 2 and Pico 4.
- Unique design and modular design. The back of the VIVE XR Elite can be detached, making the Headset with the size of sunglasses to wear.
- The Headset with supplied cable can be connected to a PC. This way you can use both Standalone and PC VR content.
- A Standalone Headset is always less powerful than a PC-controlled VR Headset.
- The Headset weighs 625 grams including battery and headband. This is on the heavier side.
- No USB power strip is included.
