Virtual Reality, sports and health
When you think of Virtual Reality, you will soon think of VR games and VR movies. But the combination with sport and health is also increasingly being made in the virtual world. For example, think of VR games that specifically focus on sports or health, such as BoxVR. But other games can also contribute to overall fitness. It VR Health Institute has listed with the calorie consumption per game. Did you know that with certain VR games can burn as much as 10 to 13 calories per minute?! And all that while having fun while playing a game of with wearing a VR headset! It seems that with name boxing games burn the most calories (games like Soundboxing, Creed: Rise to Glory, Audioshield, BoxVR, Beat Saber and Knockout League VR). So the next time you need to hit the gym again, just put on your VR headset! Or what's totally hip: just go to a VR arcade! There are now more and more arcades that offer a sports class in VR, so see if there is something near you!
To really use VR as a good fitness exercise, you can also choose to purchase an extra device. Several VR fitness centers have already opened worldwide that use a fitness machine and a VR headset. This can already be done at a basic level by connecting a VR headset to a bicycle or rowing machine. As a user, you can suddenly cycle the Alpe d'Huez or you sail with a canoe across the wild ocean. But you can also choose to use a specially developed device for this, such as the Icaros Pro. This is a kind of flying machine on which you lie down, and by tightening the muscles in your body you train your core and upper body. The specially developed VR apps help you with this and ensure that you can train in a fun way. This is the new way of exercising! Also the famous Virtuix Omni treadmill is suitable for sports. After all, you are constantly in motion, which means you burn a lot of calories during a game. However, the VR games for the Virtuix Omni are not yet so far that a specific sports game has been developed. Maybe something will come of this in the future.
Renting at Unbound VR?
Virtual Reality is of course a super fun attraction to show your company at a trade fair or event, or to use once during a company drink. But if you use VR once, it is not profitable to buy a whole set. You also need all kinds of peripherals to play VR properly (think of a PC, screen, cables, etc.). That is why we can take care of all this for you. Through our rental service you can choose from a number of ready-made rental packages: a default VR setup, a mobile VR setup for groups, a Virtuix Omni treadmill setup, a racing simulator setup, a VR cinema seat setup and the very latest Hypersuit setup. When renting an all-in package, we ensure that the products are delivered turnkey. This means you no longer have to worry about setting up and starting the VR, and then you can just enjoy the games. If you want to rent from us, you can indicate with us which date you want to rent and which products you need. For example, if you already have a VR-ready PC, we can omit it.

Product spotlight: Pimax 5K Plus and Pimax 8K
The latest headsets of Pimax are considered the sharpest headsets on the (commercial) market. The Pimax 8K has a whopping resolution of 7680 x 2160, and the Pimax 5K Plus has a resolution of 5120 x 1440. When we compare this resolution with to another high-end Headset, the HTC VIVE Pro, we see clear differences. The HTC VIVE Pro has a resolution of 2880 x 1600, which suddenly seems low compared to with the resolution of the Pimax 5K Plus and the Pimax 8K. The field of view is also amazingly large with the Pimax headsets: no less than 200 degrees! The HTC VIVE Pro and other similar headsets often have a field of view of about 110 degrees. The Pimax headsets are with SteamVR tracking 2.0 compatible, which means they use the same tracking systems as the HTC VIVE Pro. Also the HTC VIVE Pro Controllers are compatible with the Pimax headsets, so if you already own an HTC VIVE Pro, then the Pimax 5K Plus or the Pimax 8K can be a very nice addition to the total VR experience.
There are still few experiences to be found about the use of the Pimax 5K Plus and the Pimax 8K. But when we look at the specifications of the headsets, we can conclude that the Pimax headsets are fine. For a real high-end experience, we recommend the Pimax 8K. If you want to use the Pimax at home, we recommend the Pimax 5K Plus. But one thing is certain: with both headsets you're in the right place for the upcoming period!
