New and Expected headsets
What can we expect in the coming months in terms of VR?
HTC VIVE announced two new VR headsets at CES 2018 (the world's largest tech event): the HTC VIVE Pro Eye and the HTC VIVE [[MD5_35] ]. It is as yet unknown when these headsets will be released on the market, but we have already selected the first news for you!
HTC VIVE Pro Eye
The HTC VIVE Pro Eye is an upgrade of the well-known HTC VIVE Pro. The appearance of the Headset is similar to the HTC VIVE Pro, but the Pro Eye can be distinguished by the two light blue rings around the front-facing cameras. As the new name suggests, the Pro Eye with works with HTC's new eye-tracking technology VIVE. This means that this Headset can be used without controllers! You just have to look at what you want to click on, and the software will make sure that what you want happens. Ideal right?!
HTC VIVE Cosmos
Less is known about the new HTC VIVE Cosmos. We do know that this will be a wireless Headset with tracking from within. So you no longer need lighthouses like the HTC VIVE Pro. The HTC VIVE Cosmos, as it stands, needs to be connected to a VR-ready PC, but HTC is not ruling out the possibility of connecting the Headset to a phone . In addition to the technical specifications, the VIVE Cosmos has received some new design features. Zo ligt de Focus op comfort en draagbaarheid, en krijgt de VIVE Cosmos een flip-up scherm… handig!
