Stereolabs ZED X One Core
The Stereolabs ZED X One Core is an ultra-compact, barebone monocular camera for OEMs wanting to integrate powerful machine vision into the smallest possible footprint. The camera is built around a 2.3MP colour sensor with a global shutter and delivers an image output of up to 1920×1200 at 60 fps, making it suitable for applications involving rapid movements and short shutter speeds, such as data acquisition, surround vision, and teleoperation.
For integration, the ZED X One Core uses an industrial MIPI I-PEX interface, intended for high bandwidth and low latency. The I-PEX connector is designed for coaxial cable lengths of up to approximately 70 cm, which provides more freedom in routing within compact housings and highly integrated robot systems. The camera is developed for use in the ZED Link MIPI ecosystem, where the capture card can directly link with platforms such as the NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin Developer Kit or the NVIDIA Holoscan Sensor Bridge for the NVIDIA Jetson AGX Thor Developer Kit.
This setup supports low-latency multi-camera acquisition, with scalability up to four cameras on a single capture module, which is interesting for edge-AI pipelines and more complex perception configurations. For consistent timing in multi-camera setups, the ZED X One Core supports frame-level hardware synchronization with an accuracy of up to ≤15 μs. The integrated 16-bit IMU is designed for low-noise, low-bias motion tracking with good vibration resistance, supporting sensor fusion and motion-aware processing.
Depending on the desired field of view, various versions are available: Fisheye (195° H / 115° V / 220° D), Wide (110° H / 80° V / 120° D), Narrow (80° H / 52° V / 91° D) and a version without a lens for custom integrations. As this is a barebone camera, lens focus and (intrinsic/extrinsic) calibration are carried out by the user, tailored to the specific environment and application.
