The RotoVR Elite Gaming Chair is a unique addition to our XR space - and frankly, one of the most surprising. Where many motion platforms focus on the legs or full platforms, RotoVR opts for a targeted approach: head and upper body rotation in sync with your VR movements. The result? An unprecedented sense of direction and presence in the virtual world.
Motion Quality
The motorised rotation of the chair responds smoothly to the included head tracker. As soon as you look around in VR, the chair automatically rotates with you - without jolts or delay. This gives a natural feeling of orientation and prevents the well-known 'VR disorientation feeling'. Especially in experiences where 360° vision is crucial (such as simulations or cockpit games), this really adds value.
Build Quality
The RotoVR Elite is robustly built. The chair feels premium, with sturdy armrests, an adjustable backrest and a solid metal base. The upholstery is comfortable enough for longer sessions. The cable routing through the hollow axle is cleverly conceived, so you don't have to deal with tangles under your chair.
Compatibility
The RotoVR Chair works well with most PC-VR systems. The included software is compatible with SteamVR and supports common headsets such as the Meta Quest (via Link), HTC Vive, Pimax and more. The integration with other accessories - such as haptic vests or steering wheels - sometimes requires some configuration, but it is certainly achievable.
Comfort
Even after longer sessions, the chair remains comfortable. The rotation movement is calm and controlled, and the seating position is suitable for a range of applications: from seated shooters to flight sims. However, you will notice that the foot position is fixed, which makes it less suitable for games where you move or stand with your feet.
