Revopoint MetroY Ultra: professional 3D scanning with high accuracy

The Revopoint MetroY Ultra is a professional 3D scanner for accurately digitising small to medium-sized objects. With single-frame accuracy up to 0.015 mm and volumetric accuracy of 0.015 mm + 0.04 mm × L, the scanner is suitable for applications such as reverse engineering, quality control, product development, prototyping, and additive manufacturing.

The MetroY Ultra combines blue laser lines with full-field structured light and offers five different scan modes. With 34 crossed laser lines, objects can be quickly captured with up to 3 million points per second. For fine details, 15 parallel laser lines are available, while the single laser line is specifically designed for hard-to-reach parts such as deep holes, slots, and recesses. In addition, full-field structured light can be used to scan objects with many recognisable geometric details quickly and without markers.

Scanning up to 90 frames per second

In combination with a suitable NVIDIA video card, the MetroY Ultra can achieve scan speeds of up to 90 fps. The scanner supports objects from about 10 × 10 × 10 mm to a maximum of 2 × 2 × 2 metres and has a working distance of 200 to 400 mm. Thanks to the merged point interval up to 0.05 mm, even small geometric features can be accurately captured.

The blue laser also makes it possible to capture dark and shiny surfaces in many situations without scan spray. The laser modes can be used outdoors with ambient light up to 100,000 lux, meaning the MetroY Ultra is not solely limited to controlled indoor environments.

Wireless and stationary scanning

In addition to a wired USB-C connection, the MetroY Ultra supports wireless scanning via Wi-Fi 6. With the included Mobile Kit with a 5500 mAh battery, the scanner can be used mobile for about 2.5 hours. For smaller parts, a dual-axis turntable is included, which can automatically capture objects from multiple angles.

Revo Metro software included

For scanning and processing the 3D data, the free Revo Metro software is included. This allows scans to be captured, edited, merged, and exported to common file formats such as STL, OBJ, PLY, ASC, 3MF, GLTF, and FBX. As a result, the models can then be used in, among others, CAD, reverse-engineering, inspection, and 3D printing workflows.

This Standard Edition comes with, among other things, the MetroY Ultra 3D scanner, tripod, dual-axis turntable, Mobile Kit, calibration board, 500 markers, and a protective carry case. For professional metrological verification with a CMM-certified ball plate and Revo Measure software, the separate MetroY Ultra CMM Edition is available.
