The RM75 series is a professional 7-axis robot arm for applications where extra freedom of movement, flexible positioning and precise automation are important. The correct version depends on the task, the desired sensors, the end-effector, the power supply, the assembly and integration with existing systems.
7-axis robot arm for flexible and complex movements
The RM75 robot arm is a professional 7-axis application-grade robot arm for technical, educational, research and light industrial applications. The main distinction from 6-axis robot arms is the extra degree of freedom. This makes the RM75 more capable of moving around objects, adopting alternative postures and performing tasks where the position of the elbow or wrist is important for the available space.
With a working range of approximately 610 to 627 mm, depending on the version, a payload capacity of up to 5 kg and a repeatability of ±0.05 mm, the RM75 is suitable for flexible pick-and-place, assembly, inspection, research, demonstrations, test setups and applications on mobile platforms. The extra seventh axis makes the robot arm particularly interesting when a standard 6-axis arm is too limited in terms of movement space or when obstacle avoidance is important. Keep in mind that the weight of a gripper, robot hand, suction cup, cabling and the object itself counts towards the total load of the robot arm.
Available versions on Unbound XR
The RM75 series is offered on Unbound XR in multiple configurations. Depending on the chosen variant, the robot arm has a Motion Camera and/or an integrated 6-axis Force/Torque Sensor. This allows the RM75 to be tailored to applications where only extra freedom of movement is needed, as well as to tasks where visual positioning and controlled force application are important.

- RM75-B: standard version for applications where seven axes, compact integration and flexible movements are mainly needed
- RM75-B-V: version with Motion Camera for visual positioning, localisation or object recognition within flexible robotics setups
- RM75-6F-V: most complete version with integrated Force/Torque Sensor and Motion Camera for adaptive tasks with visual positioning and controlled force application
Note: the Force/Torque Sensor is located in the robot arm itself in the 6F version. A gripper, robot hand, suction cup or other end-effector is chosen separately and can contain its own sensors or grip force measurement depending on the type.

Operation, software and integration
The RM75 supports various communication and integration options, including Ethernet, WiFi, USB and serial interfaces. For commissioning, operation and configuration, use can be made of RealMan's web-based teach pendant software. Through this browser environment, users can operate the robot arm, manually move the robot arm, teach positions, create and execute robot programs and read system information.
For further integration, APIs and SDKs are available. This allows the RM75 to be linked to existing software, operating systems, test setups, vision workflows and automation environments. The extra seventh axis makes this robot arm particularly interesting for applications where freedom of movement, obstacle avoidance and flexible positioning are important.
