.
The ECO63 series is a cost-effective 6-axis robotic arm for applications where a large working range, low payload and practical usability are important. The right version depends on the desired task, the end-effector, the power supply, the assembly, possible force measurement and integration with existing systems.
Cost-effective robotic arm with large working range
The ECO63 robotic arm is a professional 6-axis collaborative robotic arm for organisations that want to combine a large working range with a cost-effective and compact robotics solution. The series is particularly suitable for technical, educational, research and light industrial applications where the robotic arm needs to be able to reach relatively far but does not have to move heavy loads.
With a working range of approximately 900 to 917 mm, depending on the version, a payload capacity of up to 3 kg and a repeatability of ±0.05 mm, the ECO63 is suitable for applications such as inspection, light pick-and-place, test setups, demonstrations, research and applications where reach is more important than payload. The mechanical brakes on all joints make the ECO63 interesting for applications where stable positioning and safe standstill are important. Please note that the weight of a gripper, robot hand, suction cup, cabling and the object itself counts towards the total load of the robotic arm.
Two versions: standard or with Force/Torque Sensor
The ECO63 series is offered on Unbound XR as a standard version and as a 6F version with integrated 6-axis Force/Torque Sensor. This allows the ECO63 to be used for simple repetitive movements over a larger working area, but also for applications where force measurement, contact detection or controlled pressing is important.
| Model | Variant | Force/Torque Sensor | Motion Camera |
|---|---|---|---|
| ECO63-B | Standard | No | No |
| ECO63-6F | Force/Torque | Yes, integrated | No |
- ECO63-B: standard version for fixed and repeating movements over a larger working range, such as inspection, light pick-and-place, test setups and demonstrations
- ECO63-6F: version with integrated 6-axis Force/Torque Sensor for contact-sensitive applications, force measurement and controlled pressing or positioning
Please note: the Force/Torque Sensor is located in the robot arm itself in the ECO63-6F. A gripper, robot hand, suction cup or other end-effector is chosen separately and may or may not contain its own sensors or gripping force measurement depending on the type.
Suitable for which applications?
| Application | Recommended version | Explanation |
|---|---|---|
| Light tasks with large range | ECO63-B | Suitable when reach is more important than payload and the movements are predictable. |
| Inspection and test setups | ECO63-B | Good choice when the robotic arm needs to reach a larger area for measurements, tests or demonstrations. |
| Contact-sensitive operations | ECO63-6F | For applications where force, pressure or resistance must be measured during contact with an object. |
| Controlled pressing over larger working range | ECO63-6F | For processes where the combination of large range and integrated force measurement is important. |
Operation, software and integration
The ECO63 supports various communication and integration possibilities, including Ethernet, WiFi, USB and serial interfaces. For commissioning, operation and configuration, the web-based teach pendant software from RealMan can be used. Through this browser environment, users can operate the robotic arm, move the robotic arm manually, learn positions, create and execute robot programmes and read out system information.
For further integration, APIs and SDKs are available. This allows the ECO63 to be linked to existing software, operating systems, test setups and automation environments. Please note that implementation, programming and process design require technical knowledge.
What might you need additionally?
The ECO63 is a professional robotic arm that often becomes part of a broader technical solution. Depending on the application, additional parts or engineering steps may be needed to make the robotic arm safe and practical to use.
- Suitable external 24V power supply according to the manufacturer's specifications
- Gripper, robot hand, suction cup or other end-effector
- Mounting plate, work cell attachment or other mechanical attachment
- Cabling and possible connections with existing systems
- Safety provisions, depending on application and working environment
- Software integration, API connection, SDK development or process design
Practical considerations
Please note that a complete robotics setup is not included as standard. For use, check whether the power supply, mounting, end-effector, cabling, software and safety provisions match the desired application. Also check in advance whether the task fits within the working range, the payload, the movement speed, the mounting position and the safety requirements of the environment in which the robotic arm is deployed.
In business applications, it's important to look not only at the robotic arm itself, but also at the complete solution around it. Consider the choice of the end-effector, the way objects are supplied, the desired accuracy, the available space, the software environment and the extent of human interaction with the robotic arm.
Business support by Unbound XR
Unbound XR can think along about the right ECO63 configuration, necessary accessories, power supply, assembly, software integration and practical deployability within your project. This way you avoid missing parts or that the chosen version does not match the application. For education, research, product development, demonstration setups and light automation, Unbound XR can help to put together the right combination of hardware and support.
Contact Unbound XR for project advice. We are happy to help you determine which ECO63 version, power supply, end-effector and integration approach is best for your application.
