What is Reducept?
The VR-applicatie Reducept helps with chronic pain management. By putting on a VR Headset, you embark on a journey inside your own body and use a spaceship to target the pain points. This might sound like a futuristic sci-fi film, but various studies have shown that it significantly impacts how patients perceive pain! It's no wonder that Reducept won the prestigious World Summit Award for the most innovative health application of 2019 for this reason.
User-friendly interface
Reducept was originally designed for use with the Oculus Go, but since this VR-bril is no longer in production, the application has been compatible with Pico VR since September 2020. Therefore, the Pico G2 4K is the recommended headset for running the Reducept application. The user-friendly interface, comfortable fit, and high image quality ensure a very pleasant experience that - even users with no VR experience can easily use.
How does Reducept work?
Reducept is very simple: all you need is the Reducept-applicatie and a good working virtual reality headset. With the VR-bril, you can install the Reducept-applicatie from the Pico Store (for Pico G2 4K), from the Google Play Store (for Android phones), or from the Apple Store (for iOS phones).
The Reducept-applicatie is free to download; however, to use the software, you need to have a Reducept account. You can find the pricing for both personal and business use on the Reducept order page.
Which VR-bril do you need for Reducept?
Put on a VR-bril and immerse yourself in a completely different world with Virtual Reality (VR). Your brain will instantly believe in your new environment. And when your brain believes it’s somewhere else, Reducept can truly get to work on your pain.
Reducept works best on a standalone VR-bril. For the best experience, we recommend the Pico G2 4K. This headset offers an easy-to-use interface, very sharp image quality, and an enjoyable overall experience. For a more affordable alternative, we recommend a Smartphone VR-bril, such as the Shinecon 6. With a Smartphone VR-bril, you slide a mobile phone into the front of the headset and use the smartphone’s screen.
The Reducept training
Starting your first Reducept training is very simple. Follow these steps to get well-prepared:
- Step 1: Install your virtual reality headset and make sure it is fully charged.
- Step 2: Put on the virtual reality headset, go to the Oculus-winkel and download the Reducept training application.
- Step 3: Install the app and get started right away!
