Connecting UVISAN on-site
A UVISAN cabinet only needs to be plugged in on-site. It is easy to move as it is on wheels. Place it in a dry, safe indoor location. Once you have found a suitable spot for the cabinet, you can lock 2 of the 4 castors. This way, the cabinet stands firm and stable and is ready to be connected.
Installing UVISAN
There is a slight difference in the models when installing the cabinets. While the VR12 only has double-sided doors at the front, the VR20 and VR30 have these doors on both sides. For the VR12, you need to remove the rear panel to access the USB-oplaadpoorten. For the VR20 and VR30, you only need to open the doors.
Once you have access to the rear of the cabinet, connect the charging cables for individual devices from the top section of the cabinet to the USB-oplaadpoorten. You can then route the charging cables through the holes in the rear panel to the front of the cabinet.
Before plugging the power cord into a socket, it is important that the power switch is off. This can be found in the Top IT area. When the power switch is off, you can safely connect the power cord and then turn on the power switch. Be sure never to connect the cabinet to an overloaded socket.
Setting the UVC-desinfectie cycle
The cabinet is pre-programmed for a disinfection cycle of 5 minutes (600 seconds), specifically designed to deliver more than 99.9% reduction of common bacteria and viruses.
Do you want to adjust the disinfection cycle time? Follow these instructions: Before you can adjust the time settings, you must first start a disinfection cycle. Do this by pressing the start button on the right side of the Top-IT area. Once you have pressed the start button, you will see the top timer counting down. Briefly press the SET-knop to open the time setting mode. Adjust the timing T1 by pressing the “↑” or “↓” button to add or subtract seconds. After setting T1, briefly press the SET-knop again, the green light will flash, and press the “↑” or “↓” button to set the timing T2. When the time is set to your preference, briefly press the SET-knop again. The system will automatically save the specified set time.
Operating the disinfection cycle
Now that the cabinet is connected, the installation is complete, and you have set your desired UVC-desinfectie cycle, the cabinet is ready to be used. Follow these steps to start a disinfection cycle:
- Open the door and place all items in the cabinet. Ensure that all items are evenly distributed. They should not overlap, allowing maximum exposure to UVC-licht for all objects and surfaces;
- Then connect all electronic devices to the charging cables/-poorten (if charging is required);
- Close and lock the door properly (if the doors are not fully closed, the security system will prevent the cycle from starting);
- Press the start button;
- The disinfection cycle will now begin. When the disinfection cycle is complete, the UVC-lampen will automatically turn off;
- When the UVC-lampen are off, you can now safely open the doors and remove all items.
Cleaning and maintenance of UVISAN
There are a few things to keep in mind when cleaning and maintaining your cabinet:
- For daily cleaning, use a soft, dry cloth. Do not use schuur- or solvents.
- Check during use that the access panel at the back (only for the VR12) is properly secured and locked.
- Do not use the cabinet in dusty/dirty places.
- Do not store the unit at low temperatures. This can cause condensation. If the unit is stored in a cold place, allow the cabinet to acclimate to room temperature for 24 hours before safely connecting it to electricity.
- Unplug the unit when not in use.
- Always use standard accessories or licensed accessories. Niet-geautoriseerde accessories, especially electronic components, can damage the equipment circuits.
