Full-body tracking is an amazing experience, especially with these games!
In many virtual reality games, you only use a VR-bril and the controllers. When you look into the virtual world, you only see your hands. This is a shame because a large part of your body is missing. By adding your body, virtual reality becomes much more realistic. You can do this by adding an HTC Vive Tracker 2.0 to your HTC Vive or Vive Pro-set. But be aware, not all games support full-body tracking. Therefore, we are happy to give you some tips to get the best experience with full-body tracking!
Island 359
This intense survival game from CloudGate Studios was already an excellent Early Access SteamVR-game, with a huge island full of dinosaurs to explore, hunt, and occasionally be scared of. Like most VR-games, it started with a pair of hands that could do everything, but when you looked down, there was no body.
With the addition of Vive Tracker-ondersteuning, Island 359 has added a full virtual fitting room, allowing you to create a body that matches your virtual hands perfectly. And because you can track your entire body with Vive Trackers, you can move your arms and legs as you would in the real world and see that translated virtually. It makes a huge difference in making you feel like you are truly part of the game, which in this case means the fear of being eaten alive by a dinosaur dramatically increases!
Tornuffalo
Full body-actie has been added to this ridiculous game as free DLC, making the game much more physical and infinitely more fun. Where you originally only had to worry about dodging all the flying objects with your head, full-body tracking makes it so you have to dodge everything with your whole body. This leads to the most hilarious moments in virtual reality.
With full-body tracking, you not only dodge extra things, but you can also use your feet to attack objects. Kick a power shard while dodging objects like Neo from the Matrix in slow-motion; you can do anything you can imagine in this game!
Arizona Sunshine
If you have a VR-headset and haven't played this game, something is wrong. It is a fantastic zombie shooter with a great story, and the developers have constantly improved the experience from day one, resulting in a delightful gaming experience. But no matter how hard you try, no VR-controller feels like you are holding a real firearm. Fortunately, for those who want the most realistic gameplay, the Vive Tracker is here to help.
Adding a Hyper Blaster with a Vive Tracker makes the combat in Arizona Sunshine feel much more realistic, which is a lot of fun. Plus, it's amusing to throw your gun in the air like a goofball and actually catch it while wearing the headset (just be careful not to drop it, of course).
Final Soccer VR
There are several games where you play as the goalkeeper in virtual reality, but in Final Soccer VR, you are actually the player for the first time. You can add Vive Trackers to your feet, allowing you to kick in your physical environment and see the ball fly into the goal in the virtual world.
This game was already great with things like multiplayer-modus versus other Vive-spelers and even smartphone players, but adding Vive Trackers for physical play makes everything much better!
VRChat
It's weird, it's fun, and it seems like everyone is doing it; with VRChat, you can step in as any character you want to play and game with a bunch of other people. It is a simple social VR-ervaring with a huge audience right now, and a great way to stand out in this experience at the moment is a set of Vive Trackers.
Where everyone else can only move their head and hands, Vive Trackers give you full full-body motion in VRChat. This makes you look much more interactive and feel much more fun.
