Pros and Cons
- Thanks to the 2.1mm wide-angle lens, the camera offers an ultra-wide field of view of 120°, ideal for spatial applications such as robotics and AR/VR
- A 3 metre long USB cable ensures ample flexibility for placement and integration in installations
- Supports accurate depth perception up to a distance of 20 metres, suitable for both indoor and outdoor environments
- Robust design with an aluminium housing and standard 1/4"-20 and M4 mounting options
- Compatible with various AI and 3D vision applications thanks to extensive SDK support (C++, Python, ROS, Jetson, etc.)
- No polarising filter present, resulting in less effective filtering of reflections on shiny surfaces
- Fixed focal length of 2.1mm may be less suitable for applications that require more optical zoom.

ZED 2i Stereo Camera – 2.1 mm Lens, 3m Cable, Without Polarising Filter
ZED 2i Stereo Camera – 2.1 mm Lens, 3m Cable, Without Polarising Filter
The Stereolabs ZED 2i is an advanced stereo camera designed for in-depth 3D image registration, object recognition, and spatial tracking. This version is equipped with a 2.1 mm wide-angle lens, a 3 metre long USB cable, and comes without a polarising filter. Perfect for applications where a wide field of view and flexible mounting are required, such as indoor navigation, robotics, and augmented reality.
Wide Field of View with 2.1 mm Lens
The 2.1 mm focal length offers an ultra-wide field of view of 120°, making the ZED 2i ideal for applications where spatial insight over a wide area is needed. Thanks to high-resolution stereoscopic vision (up to 2K) and accurate depth measurements up to 20 metres away, this camera delivers excellent performance for real-time 3D mapping, autonomous navigation, and AI-driven analysis.
The sensor utilises an advanced IMU, barometer, and magnetometer system to track movements and orientation in 6 degrees of freedom. The compact, robust aluminium housing is suitable for both industrial and educational applications.
3 Metre USB-C Cable & Without Polarising Filter
This version of the ZED 2i comes with a 3 metre long USB-C to USB-A cable, providing more flexibility in mounting on mobile robots, drones, or fixed installations. The absence of a polarising filter makes this camera ideal for environments with limited reflection or where maximum light intake is desired, for example, when used indoors or in conjunction with own light sources.
The camera is compatible with Stereolabs' ZED SDK platform, including support for AI models, object detection, 3D visualisation, and integration with platforms such as ROS, Unity, Python, and C++.
