This innovative headset offers an improved field of view of up to 70 degrees, a significant upgrade from both its predecessor, the Magic Leap 1, and the HoloLens 2. Thanks to advanced optics and a high screen resolution, the Magic Leap 2 offers an immersive and clear AR experience. The headset is equipped with a powerful processor that allows even the most demanding business AR applications to run smoothly.
In addition, the Magic Leap 2 features various sensors, including accurate eye tracking through a built-in eye tracker. Control is possible with hand gestures and voice recognition, allowing users to work hands-free and maximize interaction capabilities.
When purchased, the Magic Leap 2 comes with a controller and an external power source. The headset is connected to this power source via a discreet cable that can easily be stored in a pocket or attached to the trousers. This ensures a comfortable, uninterrupted AR experience. For developers, developer mode is easy to switch on and off via the software.
Important update: Enterprise license now included as standard
Since 31 January 2025, the Magic Leap 2 has been shipped with the Enterprise license as standard. This means that the previous editions - Base Edition, Developer Pro Edition and Enterprise Edition - with their separate licensing models are no longer applicable.
With the introduction of Magic Leap OS version 1.12.0, the use of a license key is no longer necessary to gain access to software features. In addition, all time-bound licenses have been converted to a permanent (perpetual) license, giving users unlimited access to the software at no extra cost.
This change provides more convenience and makes the Magic Leap 2 immediately suitable for business applications.
