The Kandao Obsidian Pro 12K is a professional 3D VR camera that has been specifically designed to capture ultra-high resolution stereoscopic content in 360 degrees. With eight powerful Micro Four Thirds sensors, this camera produces stunning images up to a resolution of 12K (11520 × 5760) in stereoscopic 3D, where each eye gets its own perspective. This results in a particularly realistic depth perception that is essential for high-quality virtual reality experiences.
Advanced recording and processing capabilities
The camera utilises an advanced optical design with fixed lenses that are perfectly aligned for accurate stereoscopy. Thanks to the support for RAW recording and Apple ProRes, maximum flexibility in post-production is guaranteed. With the real-time preview function via SDI output, filmmakers can monitor and adjust their recordings live as needed. The integrated active cooling keeps the temperature stable, even during long recording sessions, providing reliability in professional workflows.
Internal storage and connectivity
This bundle comes standard with an internal storage capacity of 4 TB, which is sufficient for most productions. For larger projects, expansion up to 16TB is possible, making the camera also suitable for demanding scenarios such as long shooting days or live VR streaming.
