Are you someone who knows all the ins and outs of VR equipment and computers? Are the latest VR and AR headsets, processors, and graphics cards no mystery to you? Can you disassemble and reassemble a computer with ease? Then we might just be looking for you!

Nijmegen | Full-time 32 - 40 hours | Vocational Education

Company Profile

Unbound XR is Europe's premier supplier of virtual and augmented reality hardware. Unbound XR offers the latest VR/AR hardware for both consumers and business users. Unbound XR is the undisputed market leader in VR and AR hardware and consultancy.

Our customers range from consumers seeking their first VR headset, to international businesses wishing to transform their entire business setting into a virtual world. From entertainment, to education, to innovation. But there's one thing our customers have in common: we provide everyone with the best Virtual Reality advice!

At Unbound XR, you'll work in a small team. This means you'll have direct contact with your colleagues every day. During the day, there's plenty of hard work with PCs and headsets, and during breaks and the Friday afternoon drinks, there's time for a game of pool, or of course, a round in VR. Your colleagues will gladly help you develop ideas and motivate you to work independently.

Job Description

As a Technical Assistant, you will be responsible for technically managing existing and new customer relationships. You typically do this from our office behind your computer, but you may also need to visit a client from time to time. As VR is still a whole new market for many businesses, there are many questions from our customers about implementing VR and AR. This can range from a relatively simple question from a consumer to a complex project from an international company. From your knowledge, you can always give the customer the right technical advice.

Another part of your duties involves testing returned VR equipment for defects or damage and processing this administratively. This includes registering a repair with a supplier/manufacturer. Also, testing and administratively processing recalled products falls under this.

But also within your possibilities is the installation of VR equipment on-site. Think of a new VR arcade about to start, or a company that wants to start using VR in the workplace. During the installation, you are responsible for the progress of the installation. This also means that you prepare everything down to the last detail in advance of the installation, so you won't be surprised on-site. After you have completed the installation, you discuss with the customer whether everything is to their liking, so that both of you can open the VR arcade or workplace with a good feeling.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • You advise existing and new customers on technical support and ICT questions;
  • You think along with problems that customers experience, and in this way lay a foundation for a long-term relationship with your customers;
  • You are technically skilled and can communicate and advise customers in clear language;
  • You can draw up a quote based on the wishes and needs of customers;
  • You keep the technical product information of all VR hardware in our catalogue up to date;
  • You check (and process) returned orders for completeness and damage, but also RMA sent products to solve a problem for the customer.
  • You occasionally visit customers to conduct a VR training and/or installation.

Job Requirements

  • At least Vocational Education level of work and thinking (preferably a technical education, such as ICT Management Expert or Allround ICT Assistant);
  • 1 year of work experience within ICT and/or technical industry, or you can demonstrate other relevant experience in this (work experience in a B2B environment is a plus);
  • Strong affinity with VR/AR and other technology is a must;
  • You can disassemble and reassemble a computer without problems;
  • You have a logical thought process with which you can
    identify and solve complicated problems;
  • You are decisive, think in solutions and have a commercial drive;
  • You are presentable, results-oriented and communicate well.
