HP Reverb G2 VR Flight Sim support
Microsoft Flight Simulator is currently regarded as the best flight simulation available. From this autumn, the simulator will also be available to experience in virtual reality!
Microsoft Flight Simulator
Later this year, virtual reality compatibility will be added to Microsoft Flight Simulator. The first headset to be fully compatible with the game will be the new HP Reverb G2. This headset will receive a (free) update from the Flight Simulator.
The HP Reverb G2 currently offers the highest possible resolution of all virtual reality headsets. With a combined resolution of 4320 x 2160 pixels (a staggering 2.5 times higher than the Oculus Rift S), simulation games look incredibly realistic. Microsoft Flight Simulator will thus be the first launch title for the new HP Reverb G2, as it is one of the few headsets that can fully showcase the game's beauty.
The Reverb G2 is a collaboration between hardware developer HP and gaming platform Valve. Valve released their Valve Index headset earlier this year. While the headset is a marvellous piece of hardware, many users had to wait several months due to logistical issues before they could start using it. With this partnership with HP, distribution is expected to be much smoother, allowing everyone to use the new headset immediately.
We assembled a team and subsequently entered into a partnership with HP.
