VR Escape Room Games for VR Arcades & Amusement Centers
Are you planning to start a Virtual Reality Arcade? Or maybe you already have a VR Arcade but are encountering some software management issues? ARVI VR has come up with a solution for this: they have developed their own software platform specifically designed to easily distribute VR Arcade-spelletjes. We explain how it works further in this blog.
Easy-to-use software management system
ARVI VR is a VR Arcade software management system developed to easily offer VR Arcade-spellen in a commercial environment. When running a VR Arcade, you quickly encounter the problem that multiple players want to play different games simultaneously. You want to avoid having to start or close a game individually for each player’s VR Arcade-operator. With a VR Arcade software system, it is possible to start or close different headsets and games from a central location (e.g., via a laptop or tablet). This allows the VR-operator to assist multiple people at the same time in a much more efficient manner.
ARVI VR Games
Initially, ARVI VR focused on developing and distributing VR Escape Room games. These are games designed to let the player escape from somewhere. While in the real world, you are limited by physical spaces (for example, trying to escape from a physical room), there is no limit to space in virtual reality. For instance, a virtual reality escape room can take place on an island or in outer space.
In the meantime, ARVI VR has also developed many other games, such as actie-/shooter games. However, they all have one thing in common: they are all developed for Virtual Reality Arcade halls. They cannot be played at home; you must visit the VR Arcade to experience the games.
The advantage of using a software management system like ARVI VR is that you directly pay for the commercial use (the license) of the games. In a VR Arcade, it is important to have this license; otherwise, the games cannot be legally offered (commercially). Want to know more about using VR game licenses? Which VR Hardware?
In a VR Arcade, it is important to have high-end equipment. After all, customers come to your location because you offer the latest virtual reality experiences. For a VR Escape Room, it is important that the player can move freely, that the tracking is always good (even when crouching on the ground, for example), and that the resolution is sharp so you can see clearly what is happening on the screen. For this reason, we recommend the HTC VIVE Pro 2 Full Kitfor a VR Escape Room. This is a complete set with VR-bril, controllers, and sensors for tracking. If you want to allow the player to move around even more freely, you can consider making the headset wireless. To do this, add the HTC VIVE Wireless Packto the headset and replace the cables with this wireless receiver.
In addition to the virtual reality-headset, you also need a powerful PC and meekijk-beeldscherm. For the PC, we recommend at least an RTX 3070-videokaart and Intel Core i7-processor (e.g., our VR Arcade Certified Desktop PC). This ensures powerful performance for the best VR-ervaring. The meekijk-scherm is intended for spectators so they can watch along with the players. The most common size for this is 50 inches, but this can of course vary based on the available play space. (Tip: some VR Arcades also use a projector instead of TV-scherm).
